the antiviral film project is a powerful, uplifting film anthology about communities worldwide striving for connection and catharsis during the turmoil of the coronavirus pandemic. the last ranger is the second of 19 films made around the world. it is about a female ranger combating emboldened rhino poachers during the pandemic. her brave journey unravels the dark side of the pandemic in south africa, showing how far a man is willing to go to put bread on the table for his family and how a young brave child finds her way while others lose it. it is based on the true story of a poached rhino survivor, thandi.
